This was a terrific book! It has been compared to Bridget Jones' Diary, but I think that comparison is not accurate. While this book was humorous, it was so much more. It dealt with much more serious issues of mental health and abuse. I loved Queenie and was really rooting for her to straighten out her life, and get things on track with her work, her friendships, and her romantic life. She seemed destined to continue to repeat the same mistakes. However, she finally finds the strength to get help and get her life on a new path. Just as a warning, while I overall enjoyed the book, some mind find the descriptions of Queenie's sexual experiences to be triggering. I think the scenes help characterize Queenie's mental state and her overall character development over the course of the novel.
