Queenie is such a funny and lovable character, with what I think of as a very British sense of humour. I want her to be my friend so badly.
The book opens with multiple scenes that made me laugh and the author quickly builds up a warm and hilarious dynamic between Queenie and her girlfriends. The use of text message graphics was done very well an progressed the plot line without just being an ancillary graphic like so many other books that don't really make sense.
Left on a little cliffhanger I need to go and get the ebook and carry on reading because I am so invested in how Queenie will navigate this time in her life. It reads a little like how I would image my friend giving me an update on her life over a glass of wine which I quite like. It makes you feel connected to the main character a lot faster. I really can't wait to get stuck into this one .....
