I am worried about Queenie, and I guess it is a pretty good book that draws me in and gets me to care about a character so much that even after reading it, I think back and wonder if she is okay. This definitely has some Bridget Jones vibes to it with some pretty frank social awareness issues throughout.

It is bold and different and very inclusive. It was also very relatable.Surely we have all been in a relationship that turned out to be different than what you were expecting when you started it. We have all, or at least I have, had those moments in life where we ask ourselves what we are doing or why we are doing it. Hopefully not as often as Queenie. These aspects of her life make her relatable to so many readers.

Queenie is lovable, and funny! I was laughing at several points. As with so many British books, her friendship group was enviable- so much fun. Her Jamaican grandparents added a fun touch too.

Seriously, though, can someone check in on Queenie and let me know how she is doing?
