The excerpt of QUEENIE opens with Queenie discovering that she's having a miscarriage even though she's using an IUD. Afterwards, she goes home to start packing ... but why is she packing her things? So she can move in with with boyfriend, Tom, or is their relationship over and she's moving out? I found the timeline disjointed and confusing and didn’t know what to think.
