At the jump the author ushers us along with Queenie to her GYN appointment. This is not an appointment that most of us relish when it is for a regular maintenance check up much less when a problem has been detected and less still when in the midst of an unsettling intimate relationship dilemma. The clever descriptions that the author writes in Queenie’s voice are completely relatable from the mechanics of the exam (joy stick, indeed!) to the amusing advice of the well meaning relative. I loved the first look.
