This is actually a pretty interesting book, helping explain how science works, so you can better write fiction stories. I also found it helpful for becoming a better reader, as you understand how certain aspects of life works, and then how you can use this knowledge to better read science fiction books and better understand what is happening in the books (or detect if something absurd is happening). There are several small chapters, from topics ranging from Astronomy to Science. My favorite parts are the ones about the brain and about technology. It turns out there are several myths, and knowing how things work can help you better craft new science fiction stories that seem at least plausible in the real world.
