Fact is Better with Science Fiction
From the summary, I knew the book would be well researched. The summary I read mentioned the forty authors whose expertise are compiled to help budding authors avoid the common pitfalls that befall many science fiction writers.
However, what I did not expect is how all that research would be compiled in a way that makes it seem like the book was written with one voice and that the style of writing would truly be more conversational in style than like a traditional textbook.
I was also concerned that the book would include a lot of obvious, trite observations. But again I was pleased because the book (though not very thick) does contain some insights that I hadn't previously considered.
I believe this book would be a great asset to any new, science fiction authors.
