In regards to the cover – this cover set me up for a bit of disappointment, as odd as it sounds. When I saw the cover and title I immediately thought this would be an amusing – yet highly analytical science fiction novel. When I read the description it became clear that it was more the latter than the former, which is fine. Just not what I had gotten my hopes up for!
I’m really happy that a book like this is being published. This book, in short, is for all the readers out there that scream in frustration when the science is done wrong (side note: can we get a book like this for movies and TV shows? I think they need the most help). Or for the authors that don’t want to make those mistakes.
Looking at the Table of Contents makes it clear that the author is taking their duty seriously. They sincerely want to help other writers out there do a decent job of writing about science. Now, this might simply stem from their frustration in seeing it wrong all the time, and trust me, if that’s the case I sympathize with them there.
