A young black man struggles against the image of what others expect him to be. Because he is tall and black, it is expected that he is a basketball star. And, so, he lies to his lover to impress the lover. But, this is just one of the lies he tells to protect himself. As a gay man, he has hidden his true identity to those who know him. This memoir explores his experiences.
