Growing up as a black homosexual wasn't easy for the author and he painstakingly allows the reader into the intimate moments in his life. You could feel the sadness, shame and anxiety filling the author during moments in his time in school. No one should have to go through any of that and it takes courage to write it all out for the world to read. I cannot wait to read this book!
