đź’Thoughts:
Once I picked this book up, I couldn’t put it down. I was completely sucked into the lives of Trey, Ramón, and J.B. I really enjoyed the writing style of this book. Short, concise chapters separated into before, during, after the murder. The flow was perfect in my opinion.

The author did a great job making me feel for every character, while also making me think every character looked guilty. Each person in this story lived such different lives, but untimely had similar outcomes. J.B., Trey, and Ramón faced a lot of assumptions about who they were based on the color of their skin and where they came from. Lots of great thought provoking social topics. There aren’t a lot of twists, it’s less of a thriller and more of a murder mystery.

I don’t want to give to much more away, just know I highly recommend you read it. It’s a uniquely told story with a great cast of characters.
