This is so well written and a wonderful addition to any YA collection. I am so impressed by this book and so excited it share it with students. This story is well written and held my attention the whole time and this is not a genre I typically enjoy (I strictly read fantasy). When a book outside of my genre catches my interest and holds it then I am impressed as that means it will likely do the same with others. This typically means it is well written, plotted, and has quality constructed characters. The cover is also fabulous. I love the bright colors and the different coloring around the person's eyes really catch the passerby's attention. Having a nice cover is half the fight because a pretty cover is a huge part of why teens read books. That and tiktok but still a nice cover makes a difference. As a librarian I won't purchase a book with an unattractive cover (unless it is really well written and I can hand sell it) because I know it won't circulate.
