This is a great book in the Young Adult genre. I was happy to be able to read it during Black History Month as well. This is the first time I have read a book by this author and I really look forward to more! I liked the timeline presented in the novel, the opportunity for each character to share their experiences, and the inclusion of news articles to enhance the story. The multitude of character perspectives really supported my enjoyment with the novel and its' premise. I definitely recommend this one! It touches on a lot of important societal factors as well, and I think it is a good way to learn through entertainment. I can see this becoming a book or show at some point.
