I didn’t love the cover art for this book because it looked a little scary/horror vibe to me, and I don’t enjoy those genres as much. However, this book wasn’t scary in the least. It’s a murder mystery which kicks off with the principal of an all-boys charter school being murdered, and three student suspects.

The story contains a multitude of POVs that read like testimonies and then has mixed-in traditional chapters from each of the suspects' POVs. I loved the format and way in which this story was told. It was a quick read, which I almost read in a single day because it was very addicting. The audiobook featured a full cast and I felt like it added a lot to the reading experience.

The characters are lovable, but everyone has a reason to have wanted this principal dead so the whodunnit will keep you guessing. I didn't find the reveal to be jaw-dropping and I felt there were a few plot holes regarding forensics, but this was a great book and one I’d recommend!
