Recently, there have been a slew of new mystery/thrillers that have been sweeping the young adult genre. If you too are kind of addicted them, this is the perfect book to add to your TBR pile. What I really like about it is that it tackles a lot of issues that are very relevant to today: the prejudices that exist in the justice system, particularly to men of color, the school-to-prison pipeline, racial discrimination in many of its other forms. The story follows three men of color from underfunded areas as they attend a rigorously strict school. When the principal is found dead, these boys are the primary suspects. The three of them must work together to discover who really murdered Principal Moore, or they will all go to prison. A compelling story, full of twists and turns, with many scary ties to real life. A must read novel, in my humble opinion.
