As is typical for reviewing a book, the first thing to catch my eye was the cover. I was initially drawn to the cover because it did give me Angie Thomas and The Hate U Give vibes. I was thrilled to see this author/title then referenced in the book synopsis. Next, I was drawn in by the formatting of the chapters within the first impression. Several characters narrated initial chapters to give this mystery plot some context and varying viewpoints. I really enjoyed this cast of character approach to building the world. I will definitely seek out this book upon publishing!
