Souls entwined and changed
I loved the preview of this book. I just wanted to read more! The background context of the novel reminded me a little of the game of thrones. It surrounded with family crests, hands/advisors of the throne, family power, instability of the throne, and magic. The protagonist is also a character that is extremely interesting as well. She struggles to find independence and belonging as just a "heir" in the royal court. Her mother seemed like a stranger and knows her fate is to serve the tyrant on the throne eventually. However, she sees that her fate might change when shes uses her power after years to see the ML's fate in front of an audience. She sees that they are fated to die together, their souls entwined. And she wants to change that. This novel perfectly demonstrates a coming of age story in a fantasy world where magic and souls can be used to change one's death. Hopefully.
