This is easily one of my favorite reads of the year. I fell in love with this book from the very first page. The magic in this was so interesting and cool. I love the idea of witches that are basically death fortune tellers. The magic evolved into so much more throughout the course of the novel and it was so cool learning new things about the magic along with Selestra. The characters in this novel are amazing. The story alternates between Selestra and Nox's point of view and I am so happy that we got both POVs. It enhanced the story so much and I also just loved Nox. He's the perfect male love interest with the right amount of cockiness and humor. Selestra was also a great main character and I loved that she has green hair. It was just a really cool little detail. This book is one of the best and unique retellings that I have ever read. I haven't read many Rapunzel retellings, but this one has set the bar extremely high for them.
