Intriguing start and interesting concept!
In just a handful of pages, the author has set up an interesting concept. It took a page or two to get used to the author's writing style (many short sentences that seem to emphasize the words) but I am definitely interested. When Nox is introduced I assumed he would be somehow connected to Selestra and the reveal at the end of the first look has me wanting to know more about him and his story!
Feels very much like a fantasy YA usually does so far. The cover evokes a darker feel, but I haven't read enough to say if that fully suits the book or not.
