I could not wait to go through this book when it got to me. I got this book to be a “coffee table book”, and interesting book to set out. I thought it would be a great conversation piece and I also thought I could learn a lot from it. I was surprised by the history recounted in the book from beauty practices throughout the world and charismatic leaders. It was part anthropology, part biography, part art book, and beauty guide book. The illustrations in the book were also exquisite. They really added to the book. The diagrams were easy to understand. I can definitely see myself going back to this book many times. I also liked the foreword that the author gave. I loved hearing his perspective and learning his childhood and cultural upbringing. I really loved reading this book, and I will definitely show it to visitors. I am very glad to have it in my collection
