This book presents a fresh take on beauty for all. It's definitely one of the most unique books I've ever read. It's part-history book, part-narrative, and part-beauty tutorial. It's packed with interesting facts about societal standards of beauty in many cultures, contexts, and time periods. There are also many how-to guides that provide practical and easy to implement beauty tips from beauty experts in the industry. Additionally, the narratives interspersed throughout the book were raw and personal. The author's writing style is engaging and personable resulting in a highly informative book that reads like a letter from a friend. It's easy to tell that a lot of passion and hard work went into creating this book. I really enjoyed reading this book and I really believe that there's something for everyone within these pages.
