I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but I was delightfully surprised! You never really think to look at beauty as something historical or how men have influenced it, but it's amazing how much of beauty and makeup were standards throughout history. I've learned a bunch just from the fre examples and I love the how-to's that tie into the person they just talked about. This is definitely not my normal genre but this book was super fascinating and informative.
