Oh my goodness, poor Jo! I’d never heard the term “practice girl” either and it’s terrible!
Jo can’t figure out why she’s had no luck with relationships. She thinks she’s doing what the guys want, she thinks they like her, then the guys just dump her Like she didn’t even matter to her, it’s just happened again. Jo has slept with a guy from the wrestling team and he says they should just be friends before she’s even left his house. Later in the week, she overhears the guy asking out another girl who asks him, “aren’t you with Jo?” And he says he was never with Jo, she was just his “practice girl”, she was someone he could sleep with for “practice” with no worry of getting attached to. Of course he never bothered to tell Jo this. And to make this even worse, she realizes that this is what all of the guys have done. Her best guy friend Sam (who I thought I would like!) even knew what the guys are saying and didn’t tell Jo.
So, now I am furious for Jo! I want to see this girl get even and want her to be happy.
