The cover doesn't do this book any justice
The writing and the story was so much better than the cover. I hope that one day the publisher would replace it. I'm glad that I decided to give this book a chance before judging the book by its cover and deciding not to read this one. There's just so much more to this book than meets the eye. I know, sounds cliché... But one thing that surprised me about this book was its diversity. Immediately, I was drawn to the story and its main character.
It's rare when I read a book that feels "unique" and "different." For instance, the main character had been self-aware, intelligent, and observant. All in all, this had been an interesting and a fresh-take on a coming of age story that's meant to pull the reader's heartstrings.
