Picture Us in the Light wasn't on my radar before, but it is now! Set in Cupertino, Picture Us in the Light is the story of a Chinese-American teen with dreams of being an artist, and whose parents are hiding a mysterious secret from him. There is also something that happened that changed his group of friends, and I'm curious about what it is. Already, in these first chapters, I find that Kelly Loy Gilbert's writing is both insightful and beautiful.
