Needs balance between politics and plot.

I really enjoyed this First Impression until about halfway through when they brought up Duterte and Jay starts panicking about what's going on in the Philippines. It's great that the author is writing about Duterte and the extrajudicial killings that are still happening, but the introduction of these facts was pretty heavy-handed. I felt like I was beaten over the head with "DUTERTE IS BAD! HE'S MURDERING PEOPLE! THAT'S BAD!!!" I'm still interested to see where the rest of the story goes, as long as the politics don't overpower the plot.
