I love books that convey a sense of a distinct place, and 'Patron Saints f Nothing' definitely does that! I could sense the poverty, the calloused hearts that do not dare mourn dead puppies when so many humans are losing the struggle to survive. I think this will be an interesting book for all ages, from young teens to adults.
