The first chapter doesn't really give you an idea to what is going on with the plot. It starts out with the past and only gives you the most basic information about the stereotypical characters that have been seen in other places. I am intrigued by Davey and what he sees and what actually happens, but I don't know if it's enough to make me want to buy the book.
