Our Last Echoes is very a creepy book. It’s about a girl named Sophia trying to find out what happened to her mom. One of her earliest memory was of her drowning in the ocean but she’s never even been to the ocean. She has always been told that her mom died in a hospital. Or did she? One day she gets a mysterious phone call alerting her that she needs to go to a place called Bitter Rock. It’s a small island in Alaska. Once she arrives at the island she figures she will start where her mom worked. It’s a research center, where she meets two friends. Liam and later Abby. They together search for the truth behind her mother’s death. Only if things were that simple. There’s a bunch of strange things going on in the island. The locals tell her not to go in the mist, the mist is dangerous. When someone goes missing on the island the only thing left of them are these things called echoes. They look like normal people but they are actually ghosts and are pure evil. Sophia must find a way to get passed all the evilness on the island to find the absolute truth about her mother.
