This book was amazing and just exactly what I was looking for when I read it. The main character is such a strong narrator, and feels totally fleshed out and dimensional. She has wants and needs and is trying to figure out where she fits within her friend group and the world in general. I think that this job does a great job at not only focusing on the non importance of labels, but also about how within the society that we live in, they can be incredibly helpful and comforting to try and find where we fit within it. This book is perfect for young queer (and non queer) teenagers trying to find a story that reflects trying to find ourselves within the nightmare that is high school. In the beginning, the friend group was a bit hard to keep track of, but I did get there eventually, and hold them all at such importance to the main character and novel as a whole. Overall I do wish we focused on Ophelia a bit more than the other characters so much, as I think it would’ve made for a stronger ending. Totally recommend this book for a sweet romance with deeper meaning.
