My first impression was Hamlet and I loved that. I think Ophelia is a mysterious character of literature and reading about her from a different point of view would be interesting. I've read LGBTQ novels but none portray the dilemma of choice to me. I think the thought process involved in accepting one's truth is something I would like to read about. I would also connect this a lot to Hamlet because of protagonist's name. The character seems to be someone I can connect with. Character of color are often overshadowed in literature or boxed in a different category. I hope this story represents both LGBTQ and racial minorities accurately without being overbearing. Overall I like the premise of this book but I am often very put off with dragging arcs in several novels. I would love to read something that does justice to the plot but is not excessively repetitive.
