This one was cute, but just not my thing. Even as a high schooler, the drama drove me crazy. It was wayyyy too much. The friend group dynamics were neat, but they weren't enough to salvage the book. And the romance was mildly misleading. I like what this one tried to accomplish, but it wasn't my thing
I also wasn't a huge fan of Ophelia as a character. She had her struggles yes, but they were all she was. She was a pretty horrible friend at times, and never really apologized for this. And the way she interacted with other people never really made sense to me. The drama involving her parents about halfway through really frustrated me, because there was no real reason for it. It almost felt like it was there just to extend the page length.
And despite this one being a short book, it felt like it took ages to get through. The internal monologues felt repetitive, and the conflicts even more so. I can see why some people love this, but it wasn't my thing at all
