I had a great time reading this book. The overly romantic protagonist was such a joy to read, it felt like she was "in on the secret" too in a little break of the fourth wall.

Second of all, the author, Racquel Marie, does a great job with her prose, especially when describing Ophelia's garden and her surroundings. I'm not typically a 'sensory' reader, I usually don't see or hear what's going on in the book while I read like some of my friends talk about, but Marie's writing had that changing.

Lastly, I'll talk about representation. There has been a lot of (in my opinion, rightful) critiques of queer YA representation being overly male, overly cis, and overly white. And while OPHELIA AFTER ALL's characters are all cis (at least to my memory), it did tackle at least two out of three of these problems. I call that a success.

I will definitely be recommending this book going forward.
