This book was so beautiful. For anyone who doesn’t know, this is about Ophelia, a girl discovering new things about herself, her friends, and her sexuality. Ophelia is such a lovable and realistic character. That actually goes for all of the characters because of the benefits of Gen-Z authors writing teens now. My favorite was Wesley because of his always being grounded and ability to be a good friend, but again, they’re all amazing.
The romance was especially great because it was really messy, and not just with Ophelia. It shows that not everyone is meant to be together, and love stories shouldn’t be one-sided. The writing style didn’t really rub me the right way, but it wasn’t anything to cry over. I would’ve loved to have gotten the book more than a day before release to prepare better, but hey, here we are. Overall, I loved this book. I’d definitely recommend it to people who want to see more complicated love stories and Latine main characters!
