I usually don't read contemporary YA, but this one appealed to me. Part of it is the writing, which is straight-forward but evocative. Part of it is the set up of the story, with a friend group poised on the edge of splintering. But mostly I liked Ophelia, who is an interesting character with a lot to figure out about herself, and I'm excited to see how her relationship with Talia will develop.
