This book was definitely interesting... From the weak historical references and the half-developed love and relationships between the character to his love, friends, and family I was disappointed. At times I did find myself smiling as the writing was done well and some parts were certainly heart felt and very relatable. I do not know if it outweighs the plot being sub par. From the description and synopsis, I was already wondering if I would even enjoy this story, however, I decided I would give it a try. It was easy getting into the story since the beginning was very interesting but as the plot progresses, things became rushed and in my opinion, there weren't enough details and nuances to really establish anything that would really grip the reader. Therefore, there were definitely portions of the plot and characters I really did enjoy and made me smile and warmed my heart, but that and the plot lacking real depth made me disappointed.
