This book has one of the best first chapters I have every read. It’s rare that I don’t know how many pages I’ve read, but with this book I just flew through it. I was gripped and engaged. It consumed my whole mind, to the point that when the chapter ended, I didn’t know how long I’d been reading. That is very rare for me and I enjoyed it.
The author’s style is hard to describe, in fact there isn’t really anything to say specifically. The writing is insignificant but in the best way possible. While reading I didn’t notice how things were described, word choice, or how fast things were. I wasn’t distracted by these little details; I was able to just read. It was so smooth to the point that it isn’t noticeable. It is a truly amazing thing.
I am so happy that a book like this exists in the world, and I can’t wait to continue.
