I'm not often drawn to books like Open Heart, but I'm really glad that I gave it a chance! The concept of watching someone deal with overwhelming pain and trying to muddle through their life can be heavy and given the state of the world, a heavy book might not be something that many would like to read right now. However, this preview, I think that Open Heart might be a book that people need to read because there is something in there we can learn from.
