I was skeptical when I saw the somewhat confusing synopsis, but once I started reading, the story pulled me in. I'm still not sure exactly what the book is about or where the story will go, but I'm intrigued and not really sure why. I was so impressed by the detailed descriptions and medical accuracy and then saw that Williams is a former anesthesiologist which might have a little something to do with why I liked this so much, but whatever the reason, I'm adding this to my TBR.
