I love a good historical romance a la The Notebook, and have never read much about the 1970s. It feel like this time period gets overshadowed by WWII era historical dramas and it's a time period that is not so distant but also so very different from how I grew up. I'm hooked after reading the excerpt and really want to read the rest to see how Gene's love story turns out – I'm rooting for him already!
