I really like that this story as written by the main character's son. I assume it will be more accurate because of the relationship between the author and the story. I do not think the writing is very well done but I am a sucker for a story of survival and family love. The chapters are very short which I appreciate. So often authors write long winded chapters that I feel need a break. Maybe it is because I am part of the technology generation but I need a break every once in a while in a story. it allows me to take in what I have read and also holds my attention longer. Also I feel like a story moves along faster and so I am more excited to read because I am not dragging through chapter after chapter.
