I very much appreciated that there was a familial connection between the author and Elsa. I felt as though this gave the book a special credence and a certain authority that could not have been achieved otherwise.
I also appreciated the attention to historical detail and the author's ability to weave together historical events with personal details and moments contributed to the overall atmosphere of the story.
I found the cover to be interesting too— not what one would usually expect from a biography. I'm not sure if this will help or hinder the book going forward.
It was clearly evident how much work and love went into the creation of this biography and I hope that this book finds it's way into the hands of many worthy readers.
