I'm not sure that this book is a good fit for me, given the slightly choppy nature of the writing that seems to focus more on pace than on mood and vibes. That said, depending where it goes, this could either be a really creepy book with an unreliable narrator and a strange parasocial relationship to a pair of missing girls, or an actual ghost story. I'd prefer the former but I suspect the latter. Either way, spooky things are afoot in this small town!
