This was a perfectly encapsulated First Impression. We start the story with a disgusting dead body, descriptions of which go on for several pages as different people and beings interact with it. Our main character doesn't come onto the scene until several pages into the book. He is a cop that everyone wants to see fail because he's college educated, something I can really relate to. I look forward to seeing how he struggles to solve this case.
