This definitely puts the "story" in mystery! Ok, perhaps the spelling is different but this seems filled with all the requisite elements of a delicious bit of murder mystery with a west coast flair. I've always been a fan of such programs as True Detective, and other true crime shows, and this seems like it checks all those boxes, what with dissimilar partners working together and ritualistic like crime scenes. This seems the type of novel that is demanding to be read whole, and likely will be easy to do so!
