I received this book as a Christmas present from my sister one year. It’s not a book that I would have chosen for myself based upon the description. I found it a bit difficult to get into. Maybe it was the unknown time frame? Or the unfamiliar landscape? I’m not entirely sure. Once I did get into it I found it decent. The plot was interesting and kept me gripped enough to keep moving through. The mystery of the little girl was somewhat supernatural/magical. I found that fascinating. The cover is not the greatest. I probably would not have picked this book up off the shelf for myself based upon its design. I would consider reading something else by this author if something was presented to me.
