A Beautiful and Engaging Tale
I really enjoyed this story. It was a story about stories with a theme of river and water. As rivers ebb and flow and wind around and have tributaries, so does this story. A little girl is brought into an inn where stories are told. The girl is dead and then alive again and she doesn't talk, so we don't really know where she came from. Three different families claim her as theirs. Their stories and lives intersect through the book as we and other characters solve the mysteries of the little girl(s) and their stories. It's told from multiple perspectives and has a bit of magical realism woven into the tale. I highly recommend it.
