Solstice night. "And as the borders between night and day stretch to their thinnest, so too do the borders between worlds."

Narrative tapestry, as in Ken Follett's, "Pillars of the Earth", weaves you into the story from the very start. Storytellers gather at the Swan, an inn on the River Thames on Solstice night when they are interrupted by a wounded stranger carrying a comatose little girl.

I enjoyed reading the author's, "The Thirteenth Tale", and look forward to reading this enchanting story.
