Book Review:

Thank you to Bookishfirst, Stephanie Graves and Kensington Books for an ARC copy of “Olive Bright, Pigeoneer.”

Olive Bright wants to leave her small village of Pipley to volunteer for more exciting posts to help the war effort. But with responsibilities at home she feels like she’s stuck and will never experience adventure.

When a stranger arrives and seeks the use of her pigeons for a covert British organization, she resigns herself to staying in Pipley for the cause. It’s not until a town member shows up dead that her world is completely turned upside down as she tries to keep her work secret and solve a murder at the same time.

I was beyond excited when I won this book. I had already read a book (previously won on Bookishfirst 🥰) about the National Pigeon Service and these wonderful birds’ service during World War II and could not wait to read another historical fiction novel about this topic.

While this novel wasn’t focused as much on the pigeon service, it was such a great read story and mystery. It really had me involved and guessing right up till the end. I think this may become a series based on comments on the back of the book. I’d be ecstatic if it did!
