This book was stunning. The characters in it each were unique and well written. It was a story and a book that I will reread. The conflict just added to the story and painted a background of pain and drama - true to that time period. You really end up rooting for Olive. Another aspect of the book - the mystery - was written in such a way that you did not expect the ending. You end up being super curious though so be forewarned that this is not a book you can put down easily. You will need to set aside some time or plan on staying up late. Who do you trust? As the war rages on out there, there is another war right in your very life. The contrast and connection really drives the point home and it is done in a way that draws you in. READ THIS BOOK! There are many World War II books out there, but the way this one is written puts it into a whole new category of intrigue.
